Team Newman-Dailey Raises $56k For Food For Thought

We are thrilled to be able to make a positive impact on students in our community. This year was Newman-Dailey’s 8^th year entering a team and supporting Food for Thought Annual Stock the Pantry Event.

This annual event helps Food for Thought stock its pantries with food items that will be provided to students during the school year. The program empowers students with weekly backpacks filled with healthy foods and snacks. With the mission to bridge the gap between school meals by providing food for evenings and weekends, Food For Thought helps food insecure children and empowers them to get the most out of their education.

Stock the Pantry is their biggest event of the year and is the starting point for their backpack program each school year. Teams had the summer to collect food and raise funds in this friendly competition. The goal is to collect enough food and raise the funds to support the first few weeks of the backpack program that serves more than 3,000 food insecure students in Walton and Okaloosa Counties. 

We’re thrilled to share that Stock the Pantry 2022 was a great success! The event raised over $90,000 in funds and collected more than 40,000 food items!

Thanks to the incredible support of our staff, homeowners, vendors, business partners, friends and family members, Newman-Dailey was the #1 FUNDRAISING TEAM raising $56,000 for Food for Thought!

We are incredibly humbled by the generosity of partners and supporters and are extremely proud of this accomplishment. We are honored to fundraiser alongside many other community-minded businesses and want to congratulate Scenic Sotheby’s and The Chapel at Seaside who were the second and third place, fundraising winners.  

In addition, food-raising teams collected 40,000 food items with Legendary Marine earning first place, Ohana Institute in second place and Good News Church in third place. The real winners are the students who will fight food insecurity and hunger and become top performers. We’re so honored and proud to be part of this effort and send our heartfelt thanks to ALL for your generous support!
