Where to recycle in Destin, Miramar Beach and Santa Rosa Beach

At Newman-Dailey, we care about our guests, our properties, our community and the environment. As such, we have a variety of programs that allow us to reduce, reuse or recycle. Paper has many lives at our office. Printed reports are made into scrap paper or telephone message pads; Old linens are donated to Alaqua Animal Refuge to be made into beds; and reusable grocery bags are used for shopping. These are just a few of our efforts to be green and reduce our use of natural resources. In addition, our team takes beach walks to remove trash and eats at OYSTER partner restaurants where oyster shells are recycled into living shorelines for our Bay.   

Since many of our visitors reside in cities that offer curbside recycling, it is often expected here in Destin an South Walton. The city of Destin (through Waste Management) provides weekly curbside recycling at all single and multi-family homes within the city limits and some condos offer recycling bins. In South Walton, there are private companies that offer curbside service, but the local government does not. Therefore, there are several residential single stream recycling trailers placed around Destin and South Walton so that recycling can continue for locals and families on vacation. Here’s a round-up of the recycling trailers in our area:  

Destin Recycle Location:

There is one main residential single stream recycling location in Destin. 

DESTIN PUBLIC SERVICES MAINTENANCE YARD - 3949 COMMONS DRIVE, DESTIN (Turn off Hwy 98 next to Bubba Gump Shrimp Company on Indian Bayou Trail to Commons Drive.) The recycling dumpster is located on the right side of the facility, just outside the gate.

South Walton Recycle Locations:

There are South Walton recycling stations located throughout our area where you can drop-off your recyclable trash, including aluminum, plastic and cardboard: 

Santa Rosa Beach:
CORNER OF MOLL DR/HWY 98 – 42 MOLL DRIVE, SANTA ROSA BEACH
