Things to do for Teenagers in Destin

You’ve probably heard that Destin is a family-friendly beach destination and we completely agree! There are so many activities and events for families to enjoy especially during the active spring and summer seasons. After hosting many families over the last 30 years, we’ve learned that teenagers need to have their own fun, too. There are a variety of things to do for teens in Destin. Here’s some our top picks:

Ride on Surf School– What’s more cool than learning to surf or perfecting your surf stance?  Ride on Surf School offers Surf Camp for ages 8 and up, but teens love the less structured mini-lessons, which start at 1 p.m. and include a 30 minute introductory session along with use of surfboard, leash and rashguard.

Teen Night at Fudpucker’s in Destin- Teen Night is one of the most popular things to do for teens in Destin. Teen Night at Fudpucker's Destin is held during the spring and summer seasons, every Mon, Tues, Wed, and Thurs. night from 10 pm-1 am. Teenagers, ages 14-17, are welcome to a fun, safe, smoke-free and alcohol-free night on the deck. Teens get to dance to the hottest tunes spun by the DJ, win prizes, and enjoy a blackout with glow-in-the-dark drinks and trinkets. (Note to Parents: Don’t want to leave your teen alone? Relax in the viewing lounge and keep an eye on your teen while enjoying a tasty snack or libation from Fudpucker’s Beachside Bar & Grill.) Catch a Movie– There are three movie theaters serving the Emerald Coast--AMC Destin Commons 14, Boulevard 10 (Carmike Cinemas) at Grand Boulevard at Sandestin and The Grand 16 at Pier Park in Panama City Beach.

Go Gaming at the Arcade – In Destin, the Fat Daddies Arcade offers fun entertainment nearby or for real BIG fun take teens to Dave & Buster’s at Pier Park in Panama City Beach. This adult size arcade has a wide selection of the hottest new video games as well as some of the most popular classics!

Big Kahuna's Water Park – This high-energy water park, located across from Jade East Towers in Destin, is great fun for teens. Big Kahuna's features a wide selection of water slides and water attractions that will keep teens entertained. (Note to parents: Don’t want to leave your teen alone? The Track – Family Recreation Center - The Track features non-stop fun, including bumper boats, Wild Woody three-story go carts, Slick Willy slick track, Arcade Game Room, bumper cars, bungee jumping and Sky Flyer.
