Classic Destin Restaurant Returns

Destin Diner

As Newman-Dailey prepares to celebrate our 30th Anniversary next month, we are feeling nostalgic. We’ve been reflecting on the past three decades and the many friends, clients and businesses that we’ve had the pleasure of working with over the years. So we were excited to hear that the Destin Diner has re-opened for business!

Located at the corner of US Hwy 98 and Airport Road, the diner originally opened in 1992, but sat vacant for six years. The classic shiny silver bullet is a Destin icon and now a respected local restauranteur has brought it back to life. Its reopening is the latest project of culinary visionary Oli Petit of the wildly popular Red Bar in Grayton Beach and Louis Louis in Santa Rosa Beach.

The restaurant is open Sunday to Thursday from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m., making it the perfect spot for early morning and late night dining.

Breakfast is served any time, and includes traditional diner fare of pancakes and waffles, bacon, eggs, grits and all the “basic sides.” Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to close, and features sandwiches, salads and burgers. Dinner, served from 4 p.m. to close, features signature dishes, including popular Red Bar items such as pane chicken and shrimp pasta. Dining is complemented by a very diverse bar and wine list.

Not only is Destin Diner a great addition to the local dining scene, but guests staying at nearby Jade East Towers and at beach homes in Crystal Beach will appreciate the diner’s convenient location.
