Dress comfortably. Weather in South Walton and Destin can be very unpredictable in January. It can be warm one day and chilly the next. Andi recommends layers. Some attendees will be wearing jeans while others will be dressed in casual dresses and boots to show off their Seaside style. Since some venues are indoors and some are outside, layering is key.

Pack light. You don’t need much at the venues. You are welcome to bring a non-professional camera or smart phone to capture the special moments. For the outdoor venues, you may also want to bring low back lawn chairs or a blanket. The venues will be selling food and drinks as well as commemorative merchandise.

Embrace experiencing new artists. The 30A Songwriters Festival lineup is extraordinary and the festival is filled with unexpected surprises. Venues fill up so if there is an artist that you simply "must see," Andi says get there early. Vue on 30A is one of Andi’s favorite venues because of the spectacular views of the gulf. If you hang out at one venue for a while, you're sure to get a great seat and hear a talented songwriter you've never seen before, like local songwriter Kyle Lamonica.
