Book early– Start by booking your Destin vacation rental early. As peak season spring and summer seasons near, the best units are booked first. Properties with amenities including whirlpool tubs, private pools, and gulf front views are the most popular. In order to reserve the best property during your desired time book early.

Go early– Whether taking a dolphin cruise, visiting the Gulfarium or Big Kahuna’s Waterpark, we recommend going early. By arriving at Destin attractions when they open and booking the first cruise of the day, you’ll see much more and avoid the crowds. When you’re wrapping up, everyone else is just arriving and you’ll have the rest of the day to relax on the beach. Enjoy Fresh Gulf Seafood– It is great to relax and eat within your vacation rental some nights, but be sure to plan a few nights out at Destin restaurants to feast on fresh Gulf Coast seafood and enjoy the talents of area chefs. Some restaurants take dinner reservations, however, most do not.  We recommend calling the restaurant on the way there and often the hostess will put your name on the list, especially if you have small children. Some of the most popular Destin restaurants include Dewey Destin’s, Harbor Docks, Camille’s in Crystal Beach and Cuvee Bistro. The new Groovy Grouper at Destin Commons is also getting great reviews.

Free Destin Concerts– Be sure to check out the local South Walton and Destin calendar of events. During the spring and summer season there are free or low-cost family friendly live performances most nights of the week at venues along the Emerald Coast, including HarborWalk Village, Mattie Kelly Cultural Arts Center, Village of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin and Seaside Amphitheater.
