We have been learning about so many great South Walton and Destin summer camps. If your kids love to stay active, they may be thrilled with a half day session to learn a new skill. Here's a link to the

There are several Surf Schools/Camps on the list. Today, we're highlighting one of the newest three-day surf camps, which is being held at Topsail Hill State Preserve, located east of Sandestin off Hwy 98 on Scenic Hwy 30A. Kids will learn to surf, skim and stand up paddle board! Hosted by TheXperience Surf/SUP shop along with Meyer Boarding Company, Body Glove and the Friends of Topsail, the three-day camp takes place each week Tues-Thurs from 9 AM- noon. WaltonOutdoors.com has posted an outline of the three day program:
Day one
. Meet at the Club House for art work on your custom Meyer skim board, games and instruction on the SurfSet training boards. Also you can demo the Land Paddle boards and Stand Up paddle boards.
Day Two
. Hit the surf, Head to the beach on your own tram, shade tents, water and cold fruit provided. Instructor lead surfing, in-between sets you can try the Shore Surfers, and Skim Boards
Day Three.
Your custom board is returned to try on the beach. More surfing and SUP.
All Campers get a custom Meyer Skim board, Body Glove rash guard and a bag of stickers, wristbands and other goodies! Cost is $200.00 per camper. To learn more or register your child, call TheXperience Surf shop at (850) 460-7300.
